As part of the British Council’s International Climate Champions Programme, a group of young climate champions including six from India and one each from Russia, South Africa and Italy visited the Sunderbans in December 2008.

This film traces the journey of the climate champions as they travel across the largest delta in the world. They experience the anxiety of the local communities and witness how climate change is affecting the people in this unique low-lying delta ecosystem. Enriched and humbled with this experience, the champions return home and hope to share this experience with their own people. As active youth leaders in their own countries, the champions will use the Sunderbans experience as they look for solution to mitigate climate change.
